Original Summary

Two months ago I built a personal project for inspiration when I was lacking it... Sometimes I just couldn't think of new ideas for my websites, my professional and personal projects. So I threw an idea to create an forever grid of components that I goto aand hopefully get a spark of inspiration.. that started a whirlwind of experimentation, building and the usual Reddit critique, which is sometimes hard to swallow but I APPRECIATE IT SOOO MUCH... please keep it coming ANYYYWAY heere's what I've learned during the process and what I've accomplished and what I would have done different and things that I could have done better. It's very easy to be self critical but overall I'm super proud of what I've done. Reflecting on that and how I've gone through really difficult times at the same time as keeping moving forward on this, whilst trying to take on board the criticism, here's a brief summary of what I'll take forward to the next project : I would have focused on one thing much sooner. I would have kept going and initially thought about the customers first, thinking about my core audience and whether they are coming or not to the website. That would have been the first thing also would NOT have asked for feedback from my friends and my family buuut from the people that would actually want to use it and would actually want to pay for it. Take their feedback as gospel. I think I would have accepted that some time. I just need a break. I don't have to work every single day and not beat myself up because of that. Because in fact sometimes working can be incredibly counterintuitive and sometimes you just need to make space and time for some recovery. There's obviously loads and loads more but I just wanted to share this in case anyone is going through something similar and has been working on a project where they don't feel like they're getting traction. Hopefully it gives a little bit of motivation as well as sharing some of my experiences here.
