Every "free" markdown to PDF converter I tried had the same pattern: upload your file to their server, get a mediocre PDF back, and a watermark nudging you to a $10/mo subscription. For documents that aren't public yet (thesis chapters, grant proposals, work stuff) uploading to a random server is a no anyway. So I built NOBADPDF . It's a tiny Windows app: - 100% offline . Your files never leave your machine. - 5 hand-tuned templates — arXiv-style, IEEE two-column, Elsevier-style, business report, formal letter. Real typography, working math (KaTeX). - No watermark, no accounts, no subscription. Ever. - Free, and it stays free.
