Original Summary
getpomodo.com — free, no signup, opens straight into a working timer. I built it for myself because every focus app I tried had either a timer I liked and sounds I didn't, or the reverse. It's a Pomodoro timer plus 16 ambient layers (rain, cafe, fireplace, brown noise and so on) that you mix yourself instead of picking a fixed playlist. There's a Raycast integration, which is the part I use most. The ugly parts, since that's rule 1 here: ~60 registered users. 210 unique visitors in the last 30 days. zero revenue. No payment system connected at all. Average session is 5 minutes 24 seconds — on a product built around 25-minute focus blocks. So most people who arrive never finish a single session, and I genuinely don't know if that's onboarding, the sound itself, or just people looking around. I spent a month convinced "layered ambient + pomodoro" was my differentiator. Then I found three other products describing themselves with almost that exact sentence. It isn't one. What I'd actually like feedback on: Open it and start a session. Where exactly do you lose interest? The specific moment is what I need. If you already use focus sounds — what do you use, and what would make you switch, if anything? Given that 5-minute number, would you go after retention or traffic first? I've been assuming traffic. Happy to answer anything about the build or the numbers. submitted by /u/Itchy-Weakness-8322 [link] [comments]
