Original Summary
Hi all, I've spent the past year or so building a generic framework for shipping multiplayer puzzle apps, and I've just launched the second app on it. The framework: a monorepo with shared auth and API, so each new app is mostly just the game and its puzzle logic. Both apps share accounts, private teams with leaderboards, real-time racing lobbies, AI opponents, daily puzzles, monthly collections, hints and light/dark themes, and most of that comes from the framework rather than being rebuilt each time. The apps: Sudoku Race (the first one): race friends and family on the same sudoku at the same time, watching each other's progress on a racetrack. You can also import a puzzle from a photo. Unblock Race (just launched): a Rush Hour-style sliding-block puzzle with daily puzzles that go from beginner to expert. It counts your moves and time, so you can challenge friends and family to beat your score, and the hint system walks you through a puzzle step by step. I built these because I love solving puzzles like this, and I wanted daily ones without ads. AI disclosure: the framework is my own design. I used Claude Code to speed up development, improve the design and get full test coverage. The artwork is HTML and CSS that Claude helped design. Feedback I'd love: is the difficulty curve in Unblock Race right, and have you built a framework like this?
