Original Summary
I want to say again that if you're pitching a business (especially in the vibe coding AI software age), you're not just trying to build trust for yourself. You're trying to overcome everyone's impression of what else they've seen in the market. I see someone on a riding lawnmower? Grass looks good, they look like they're having fun - if you try to sell me a lawnmower, assuming I have a yard, you're starting with a positive impression. If you're trying to sell me an AI-powered sales outreach tool... I'm routinely trying to dig my inbox out of a pile of them, and they're almost universally bad. Targeting, messaging, timing, product pitch... it's not good. So you do have to show proof. Real proof. Good proof. You have to actually show the work. You're trying to sell me a heater when I'm in a house with a broken AC in the middle of summer. You have to work way, way harder than you normally would to build that trust and any trust in what you're offering. That's why SaaS and vibe-coding founders are having such a hard time standing out, that's why so few people are trusting your products out of the gate. submitted by /u/GoBoldr [link] [comments]
