Original Summary
I'm the developer. ManyMin is a Mac app that keeps a small counter in the corner of your screen showing how long you've spent today in whatever app or website is in front of you. It ticks up every second. US$28 lifetime, with a 14 day free trial and no card needed. I made it because Screen Time only told me on Sunday how much of my week went to YouTube. By then it was spent. Most of the time the counter is enough on its own. Watching 41m turn into 42m is usually what gets me to close the tab. When it isn't, you can set a daily limit for any app or site. Go over it and the counter turns red and pulses. You can also have the whole screen go grey until you leave, using the macOS accessibility colour filter, or cover the screen with a countdown before you're allowed to carry on. You pick how long the countdown lasts, from 5 seconds to 10 minutes. Each of those is a switch you can turn on or off. It's native Swift. It tracks each website separately in Safari, Chrome, Arc, Brave, Edge, Vivaldi and Opera without a browser extension. In incognito windows in Chrome-based browsers and Arc, it counts the time but never records which site you were on. Safari doesn't let other apps see whether a window is private, so it can't do that there. Everything is stored in a file on your Mac, and there's no account. manymin.app Does a counter you can always see work better for you than a blocker, or do you need the block? I'm still deciding which one the app should lead with. submitted by /u/MarionberryProper583 [link] [comments]
