Side project I've been hacking on nights and weekends: Beli ( https://github.com/onlinegill/beli ), a fork of CopilotKit's OpenMuse. The itch: I wanted a personal assistant that lives on MY hardware, remembers context between conversations, does scheduled work while I sleep, and pings me on WhatsApp instead of me living in yet another SaaS dashboard. What it does now: Chat (web + native mobile) with streamed agent events and tool cards Long-term memory with reviewed memory candidates + editable persona Subagents for delegated tasks Scheduled automations / heartbeat jobs / workboard A persistent Playwright browser the agent can actually operate (fill forms, click through sites) Connectors: email, Telegram, WhatsApp, browser-based logins Provider picker: OpenAI-compatible, Anthropic, Google, DeepSeek, or local Ollama — with fallback MCP client support, voice notes The unglamorous parts I'm proud of: centralized tool policy with owner-approval gates (the agent can't go rogue with your credentials), encrypted credential storage, 615 passing tests. Stack: TypeScript, React Native/Expo, Playwright, pnpm monorepo. MIT licensed. Status: alpha, v0.1.0 out. It runs, I use it daily, but expect rough edges. I'd genuinely love feedback on: the README quickstart (does it actually work on your machine?), and what you'd want a self-hosted agent to do first.
