Think Duolingo for AI 😄 I officially launched a few weeks ago, and until two days ago nobody had paid. I tried the usual launch stuff: Product Hunt, directories, LinkedIn, a blog. But each one barely brought any visitors. Then on Tuesday I posted in r/learnmachinelearning . Not about the app, just a long post to the question that sub gets every day: what should I learn in order to get into ML/AI, and in what order. Genuinely trying to just help people using what I learned in my PhD and tech jobs, rather than promote. It got about 150k views, almost 500 upvotes, and people actually gave me awards for it, which I had to learn what it means. Almost 1000 people came to the site that day and 123 signed up. What's even more surprising, is that within an hour of the post I had my first customer! A stranger read a free post, found the app on their own, used it, and decided it was worth a year. So bizarre and heart-warming at the same time. I'm writing this post for two reasons: I want to thank all of you wonderful people for the launch stories and first-customer threads I've been reading here for months. They kept me going when nothing was working I wanted to share my experience to perhaps help others who don't find the usual channels/approach working right off the bat Still very early (1 paying user, a lot of free ones to convert), but this feels like the first real milestone.
