Instead of just giving you a bunch of effects with some sliders, Sonexis gives you a node editor where you can actually build out your own processing paths. A big part of the app is customizability: you can branch your audio into parallel chains, process the left and right channels independently, and even use external Audio Units alongside Sonexis's built-in effects. Sonexis isn't just an EQ app or a simple stack of audio effects either. It comes with a wide mix of processing tools and creative effects, from EQs and compressors to tremolo, stereo widening, reverb, and more. All of these can be combined however you want inside the node editor. Together with your own Audio Units, this allows you to unleash your creativity. With the latest update, you can now have independent chains for each app, giving you even more control over how your Mac sounds. I've also added a menu-bar panel, so you don't need to constantly open Sonexis just to make quick changes. There are tutorials throughout the app, starter presets to help you get going, and your work is saved so you don't have to rebuild everything every time you come back. It's also worth mentioning that Sonexis doesn't use or install any virtual audio devices or drivers. It uses Apple's Process Taps directly, so there's no need for any extra setup. Right now, I'm working to make Sonexis a little more contributor-friendly, and I've been making steady progress on the repo structure, documentation, testing, issued, contribution workflow and etc. Feel free to look through the project and contribute if anything interests you.
