Original Summary

Most hosted crypto payment gateways (NOWPayments, BitPay, etc.) route funds through their own accounts and take a cut. I wanted something where the server never touches a private key at all — so I built a self-hosted gateway that derives receiving addresses from the merchant's public key (xPub) only. Tech stack: Node.js, TypeScript, ethers.js v6, Prisma, BullMQ, PostgreSQL, Redis. Supports ETH/BNB/USDT/USDC across Ethereum, BSC, Polygon, Arbitrum, and Base. Live checkout page with QR code + real-time status via WebSocket, encrypted merchant credentials, and background workers for on-chain transaction detection. Fully tested — including a real concurrency test to make sure two simultaneous invoices never reuse the same derivation address. Happy to answer questions about the architecture if anyone's curious.
