Original Summary
Hey all, I run a small marketing agency out of Monterrey, Mexico, and lately we've been working almost exclusively with software/web/app dev agencies. I see a lot of "how do I get clients" posts here, so I figured I'd share some patterns. Almost every founder we talk to has the same story: amazing at building, no real sales system. Work comes from referrals, so you get a crazy busy month followed by a dead one. And the founder is usually the only one who can sell, which is tough when you're also the one shipping. A few things that actually moved the needle: Ask about budget before the call, not during it. One budget question on the form killed most of the "can you build me a $500 landing page" calls. Fewer leads, way better ones. Founder on camera > company page. What worked wasn't ads about the agency. It was the founder explaining stuff buyers genuinely wonder about, like when you actually need custom code vs. a website builder, or app vs. web app. People show up already educated and already trusting you. Speed to lead > lead volume. Every lead goes straight into a CRM with reminders, so nobody sits in an inbox for 3 days going cold. For one custom dev agency we work with, that added up to 130+ qualified leads in 4 months. Full disclosure, since this is where I mention what we do: we set this whole system up for dev agencies (content, Meta ads and CRM), and we guarantee 10 qualified inquiries in your first 90 days of campaigns. If we don't hit it, we keep working without charging until we do. If that sounds useful, here's how it works: https://preview-1790100716221062081.vibepreview.app/ Happy to just answer questions in the comments too.
