Hey there r/SideProject , For the last few weeks, I've been auditing carrier invoice data (DHL, FedEx, UPS) and noticed that around 3% to 8% of shipping line items were subject to carrier billing mistakes, most often due to volumetric weight overcharge or un-applied service guarantees. In order to tackle this, I've developed BillRecon, a CLI tool implemented in Rust. It parses CSV invoices, checks if the weight complies with the contract minimums and generates a list of claims in milliseconds. Why Rust? Efficient memory utilization and streaming performance. With the help of rayon for parallel computing, it parses huge amounts of invoices (3,000+ rows per second) using little memory.
