I posted here last week about BeverageIQ™ — a dentist's app that scans a drink's barcode and scores what it does to your teeth. In that post I listed a 7-day trial and $0.99 or $1.99 a month. That's no longer true, and I'd rather say so here than quietly change the listing. The subscriptions are removed from sale on both stores. Everything — scanning, the journal, the meal scan — is free through 15 January 2027. No payment details, no trial that turns into a charge, nothing renews. There are daily limits instead: 20 drink scans and 25 plate scans a day. Anyone who already paid keeps access through the term they paid for. Why. I'm a general dentist in a town of just under 4,000 people, 26 years in. I built this because patients ask me "is this one okay?" every day and my honest answer was "I'd have to look it up." Then I put a paywall in front of it. A paywall on a thing almost nobody was using yet answers a question I don't have — whether it's any good — and stops the one I do. So I took it off. The scoring method is published in full, every term with its citation, so you can check the math rather than trust a number.
