Original Summary
I currently run a B2C SaaS and want to expand into B2B. The problem is that on the B2B side, I’m basically starting from zero. I know who my target customers are and I have a pretty clear idea of the problem I want to solve, but I don’t have an existing B2B network or contact list. My main goal right now is not to scale sales. I want to get my first few pilot customers , talk to them, understand their real problems and shape the product around that. I’m based in Germany and I’ve tried cold calling, but the response has been pretty bad so far. A typical call feels like: I reach the right type of company I know they should have the problem I’m researching I ask them about how they currently handle it they basically say “everything is fine” and try to get off the phone as quickly as possible So I’m wondering how other founders approached this in the very early stage. How did you get your first 5–10 B2B customers or pilot users? Especially interested in: How did you find the right decision-makers? What channel worked best: cold calls, LinkedIn, email, communities, referrals, in-person outreach? How did you get people to actually talk openly about their problems? Did you lead with a product/pilot offer or purely ask for feedback first? How did you structure discovery calls without making them feel like a sales call? If you were starting from zero again, what would you do first? I’m specifically interested in the stage before you have case studies, referrals or an established B2B brand . submitted by /u/Capital-Radish4533 [link] [comments]
