Original Summary
Over the summer I built BrickForgerAI, a web app where you type what you want to build and it generates an actual physically buildable brick model - not just an image. My pipeline generates the concept, converts it to 3D, voxelizes it, replaces the geometry with real LDraw parts, checks connectivity/stability, repairs weak structures, and generates an .ldr , parts list and step-by-step instructions - so that you can actually build the model in real life. I first posted it publicly in August and launched and got featured on Product Hunt on September 5, where it also got featured it in their newsletter. Then yesterday (September 22) Anthropic launched Opus 5.5. One of their showcase demos is an app where you describe something or provide an image, Claude designs it out of real bricks, checks that every piece is physically connected, and generates a complete step-by-step manual. Their showcase model is a 2,874-piece city square with 15,880 stud connections and zero structural warnings. And it is way better than mine - they seem to have used some form of semantic reasoning, so the generated builds use more appropriate brick types and look intentionally designed rather than like a 3D shape that has been approximated with bricks. idk how to feel lol - the entire product pipeline is just strikingly similar, and there are even some similarities in the UI. Obviously just is convergent development, but just felt like I should share. submitted by /u/Leading_Green5185 [link] [comments]
