Original Summary
I'm building a quit-smoking and quit-vaping app, and the hardest call wasn't technical. Every quit tracker I tried resets you to day zero after a single cigarette. It sounds honest. In practice, a lot of people see "Day 0" after 40 good days, think "well, it's ruined", and buy a pack. So I split it: - A lapse (one puff, one cigarette) keeps your streak. - A relapse (back to using) resets the streak, but your history stays: every craving you rode out, every milestone, the money you kept. The rest of the app is built around the moment of the craving: one tap starts a 90-second rescue (breathing, then distraction), and an AI coach remembers your triggers so it can talk to you about your actual 5pm-in-the-car problem, not generic tips. It's live on Android, free to start. I'd genuinely like to hear whether the lapse/relapse split feels right or like cheating.
