Original Summary
Quick backstory: my last product was B2C, actually got decent traction, tons of people using it... and I could never figure out how to monetize it. Classic B2C trap, lots of usage, no willingness to pay. But it was a really good experience, it was the first product I built that got used by thousands of people from 10+ countries. So this time I went B2B a form builder, which I know is a brutally crowded space. SEO is basically nonexistent right now and I'm getting zero traffic from AI tools recommending my product. So I did the unsexy thing: just started manually emailing and DMing people who looked like a real fit. The pitch I kept using was this: one sentence, no tutorial videos, no reading docs, just plain english. You build the form with a nice layout, connect responses straight to Notion/Linear/etc, and an AI actually watches the form once it's live, flags when something's off, suggests changes, and can make the update itself. Plus advanced analytics on top. No demo, no deck, just that line. And it landed. A handful of people signed up off the back of it and are still using it, and now I'm adding their replies to my homepage. First time in this whole project someone I didn't already know started using something I builtFelt disproportionately good. I think I actually have a shot here, not because form builders are a blue ocean (they're very much not), but because almost all of them stop at "collect responses." Nobody's watching the form after it goes live and actively telling you it's underperforming, let alone fixing it. That seems to be the part that makes people stop scrolling. That said, manual DMs don't scale. I can't out-hustle this market one person at a time forever. So next move is content and demos, posting everywhere, trying to build inbound instead of chasing every user by hand. Curious if anyone else jumped straight to manual cold outreach before doing any content/SEO did it work, or did you wish you'd started with demos instead? submitted by /u/Ok_Term413 [link] [comments]
