I really think journalism is a public good, I’ve always felt really horrible about a paywall for my work alone and being in this field for the past year there are almost no tools four beginner journalists that are affordable to monitor newsroom grade surveillance. It’s been a year of 16-18 hours a day of just being fed up with a new article coming out everyday about mass surveillance so I said one day how would they like it if we all did it to them. So I created the open source palentir owned by the people and targeted toward journalist so they can say f u to the governments and catch what they do in secret. Transforming the way an industry has worked for thousands of years since the diurnas in Rome takes audacity. Change for journalism is inevitable, newsrooms have had to adapt with every new advancement.
