I'm the maker of Sofa, a free browser extension for watch nights with people in different places. Everyone plays the video on their own device. Sofa syncs play, pause and seeking, and adds voice, chat and emoji reactions over the player. You create a room and share an invite; no Sofa account is required. The companion Binge site can also remember your place in a series and let friends suggest and vote on what to watch next. That part can be tried without installing the extension. I'm looking for feedback on the first-use experience: can two people go from an invite link to watching together without needing me to explain it?
