I'm building Lyre, a local-first platform with a simple promise: take whatever you build and open it on your phone or another computer, without making a build, turning on Developer Mode, or moving your project into a cloud service. The idea is a cloud-like experience with local roots: use the tools and providers you already have, on your own machine, with the freedom to choose. Your project, dependencies and model setup stay local. What works today (0.1.3 shipped this week): - Multi-provider agent workflows, plus local-model discovery and walkthroughs - Project services and previews that let you open the running app from a paired device - Remote connection over LAN or the encrypted relay - Publish support for Google Play and Apple, plus Vercel; other hosting routes are wired in but not finalized - An orchestration library for splitting work across agents - A viewing mode for handing a running app to family, friends or early users to try on their own devices or for Bussiness to be able to allow team access to their apps. Wired in, still being tested: - Remote desktop over LAN, so you can work with projects beyond standard web/app projects. - Splitting orchestration across machines - Mobile distribution: Android internal testing is next, and I'm recruiting the first tester group before anything goes public - Strong AI tooling like Routing built into the app The longer-term goal is to make development make sense wherever you are, and to give people who don't write code a real way to build their own work locally, with the information to go further on their own (documentation on how to install local models, how to orchestrate models, and how routing works!) For developers, it hopefully one of the best tools thats out there for their AI workflows to optimize token usage, test their work no matter where they are, and to shift tasks per device so that there no longer is a need to carry around that bulky laptop.
