Original Summary
We started in March and are now at around €3k MRR. I’m happy with that. There are people actually paying for what we’ve built, and I don’t want to lose sight of that. But I also really want to push forward. And figuring out where to put my time is harder than I expected. One day I’m convinced we need to make the product simpler. Improve the onboarding, make the next step clearer, help people get something useful done without having to explain everything first. The next day I’m thinking: we already have paying customers. Shouldn’t I be spending more time finding more of those? Even the homepage has taken up a lot of headspace lately. You know your own product so well that you think the explanation is obvious. Then someone looks at it and still doesn’t really understand what you do. So you change the headline. Shorten the text. Change it again. At some point you start wondering whether you’re improving things or just going in circles. Marketing brings the same doubt. Ads, SEO, Reddit, LinkedIn, webinars… I can see a reason to try all of them. But there are only so many hours in a week, and trying a little bit of everything makes it hard to know what actually works. Then I read a founder story about someone going from zero to a ridiculous MRR in a year. It motivates me, but I also immediately start wondering what I’m missing. We have something people pay for. How do we get it moving faster? I know those posts don’t show the whole business. You don’t see their costs, churn, previous audience or how much help they have. Still hard not to compare sometimes. I’m not building completely alone, so “lonely” might not be quite the right word. It’s more that I keep carrying these decisions around in my head. I’d like to talk to more people who are in the middle of it too, while they’re still figuring things out. How long have you been at it, and what are you struggling with right now? Especially curious how you split your time between improving the product and selling it. Do you have a clear way of deciding, or are you also changing your mind every few days? submitted by /u/Separate_Secret_3200 [link] [comments]
