Original Summary
I’ve been working on TraceMeal -- www.tracemeal.com.au . It tracks your macronutrients, vitamins and minerals, but the idea is to go beyond showing you numbers and actually help you put that information to use. Start with the recipes you already enjoy. Copy and paste a recipe, and TraceMeal reads it, interprets the ingredients, matches them to food databases and calculates its nutritional breakdown. You can then save it to your recipe collection and use it in the meal planner. The planner covers 1, 7 or 31 days, with custom options too. You can build your plan yourself or click Auto fill to populate it with meals from the recipe book, which gets new additions each week. It doesn’t just fill the empty spaces -- it takes your nutritional needs into account, helping balance protein, carbohydrates and fats alongside vitamins and minerals across your plan. There are currently vegetarian and vegan options, with more dietary preferences and restrictions planned. When a day needs a little extra of a particular nutrient, Suggest a food item can help fill the gap with suitable foods or additional ingredients, rather than making you work it all out yourself. Support for vitamin and mineral supplements is also planned. The goal is simple: use recipes you enjoy, see what your meals provide, and make it easier to put together a nutritionally balanced plan. Have a look and let me know what you think -- what’s useful, what’s confusing, and what you’d like to see added. submitted by /u/Ill_Advantage6095 [link] [comments]
