I've been unemployed since graduating from my master's program last May, and decided I should use the time to build something instead of letting it go to waste. For the past several years, I've watched new streaming platforms pop up and increasingly fragment where shows and movies are available, especially with the rise of originals and exclusives. That's where STREAMLning took shape. You tell it what you already subscribe to, what you want to watch, and how you watch. From that intake, STREAMLning creates a watch plan. Over the past month or so, I've coded and tested the core pieces a SaaS needs, including a login page, payments, a user dashboard, and the intake process. My current tech stack is Next.js, React, TypeScript, and JSX/HTML + CSS , with Supabase/Postgres for the database and authentication, Stripe for payments, and Resend for transactional email, including reminders. My next step is integrating an entertainment metadata/availability API and an AI API for the recommendation and planning layer.
