Original Summary

Our product, Vibe App Scanner , went live on AppSumo today. Excited, but definitely a bit nervous too. My co-founder and I have almost two decades of cybersecurity experience between us. The product came out of the code and security audits we were doing through our agency, including apps built with tools like Lovable and Base44. We kept finding problems that weren’t obvious from using the app. It worked, looked good, and still had exposed secrets or data that shouldn’t have been accessible. So we built something that lets founders scan their app, understand the findings and take fix instructions back to their developer or AI coding tool. Getting ready for AppSumo has been a whole separate job. There’s the listing, screenshots, emails and launch posts. But we’ve spent a lot of time on the less exciting stuff: testing license activation, running concurrent scans, sorting out background jobs and making sure retrying something doesn’t accidentally do it twice. We also had to think carefully about the lifetime offer. Every scan has an ongoing cost, so our plans have monthly scan allowances. Selling unlimited usage upfront wouldn’t make sense for us. Too early to share any results. Today we’re watching the queues, answering questions and seeing how people actually use it. For anyone who’s launched on AppSumo before, what caught you off guard in the first week? Particularly interested in the support workload and whether buyers stuck around and kept using the product. submitted by /u/HourMode1351 [link] [comments]
