Hi I&#x27;m Ben. I&#x27;m a product manager in London and I&#x27;ve been building this solo.<p>CallFirst blocks socials until you make a phone call to someone, on a schedule you set. I made this because I found myself meaning to call my mum&#x2F;mate&#x2F;etc but ended up doomscrolling instead.<p>A couple of things on the approach 1&#x2F; I don’t see any contact information, none is shared back with me, 2&#x2F; I don’t actually know you’ve made a phone call - I know you’ve been away from the app for more than 60 seconds, but my early testers found the nudge to stop doomscrolling and be reminded it’s time to call someone to be enough to get them to make the call! 3&#x2F; The hardest thing was stopping different Android phone makers from killing the social app monitoring I need to run. I only have 2 test phones, so had to find friends with different handsets!<p>It’s always free for one contact, one schedule and to block one app, and comes with a free trial for unlimited blocking.
