BarHop took a while to build: you pick an area, it finds the bars, optimizes the walking route between them, and your group can track each other live during the night. No ads. No charge. Last week I finally got into the analytics looking for a conversion issue. What I actually found was: 25 visitors in 30 days (yeah, small) 40% clicked through to signup – way better than I thought 30% of those completed it 10 accounts 90 days → exactly 1 person ever returned So acquisitions were good. Activation was shattered. It turned out that new users would land on a location-permission popup that was hardcoded to a map of Columbus, Ohio, no matter where they actually were. Someone in London opened the app to a pop-up over the wrong Fixed this week: the map now opens on your actual city with bars already loaded, and nothing blocks the first view.
