I built RayMate because I wanted three things in one place: a quick AI chat, dictation that runs on my own Mac, and a shortcut that fixes the sentence I just wrote without leaving the app I am in. What it does: Dictation on-device. Parakeet runs on the Neural Engine in 25 languages, offline. If you prefer the cloud, Soniox (real-time), Groq, Deepgram, OpenAI and Gemini are all supported with your own key. Inline rewriting. Select text anywhere, press a shortcut, and the correction replaces it. You can review the diff first and reject it. Chat from anywhere. Option+Space opens a launcher-style panel. Bring your own key for OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini, or point it at Ollama and LM Studio for fully local chat. If you already have the Claude Code or Codex CLI signed in, it can use those instead of a key. Screen-aware prompts. A prompt can send a screenshot along with your question, which is handy for "reply to this email". Your own prompts , each with its own shortcut, icon and model. No account, no trial, no pro tier, no telemetry. API keys are encrypted on disk and never sent anywhere except the provider you chose. Requirements: macOS 12 or later, Apple Silicon.
