I built SkipIt ( https://www.skipit.pro ) as a web app; nothing to install. Open-source solutions for this already exist; I didn't reinvent anything completely new. I just never got around to digging through GitHub and setting it up myself every time, so I packaged it into one thing that just works: go to the site, enter the pairing code from your screen, done. One important thing: this is only for YouTube on TVs / streaming boxes (Smart TV, Chromecast, Fire TV, etc.) - anywhere YouTube runs as its own TV app. It does not work in a regular browser on your computer or phone, and won't - that's a different technical setup entirely.
