Original Summary
I lost final-round interviews at a couple of companies I really wanted. Not because I didn't know the material, but because I froze the moment it became a real conversation instead of a rehearsed answer. So I built SpeakCoach. It started as an AI mock interview tool, you talk to it out loud, it responds like a real interviewer, and afterwards you get a report on filler words, pacing, clarity, where you rambled, where you were sharp. The part I'm most excited about, and just finished building, is a custom role-play mode. You describe any conversation you're dreading, a tricky manager, a salary negotiation, a difficult client call, anything, and it builds an AI persona to match and has that actual conversation with you. Then it scores how you did. I'm a solo founder building this nights and weekends around a full-time job, so it's rough around some edges, but the core experience works and I'm genuinely proud of it. Would love brutally honest feedback: does the conversation feel natural, is the report actually useful, what would make you use this again after the first try. https://speaking-coach-beta.vercel.app submitted by /u/ProperWedding339 [link] [comments]
