Original Summary
Hey everyone. I have been building Volqan for a while now and just pushed it out as open source. The idea is simple. You define your content schema once, either in code or with a visual builder, and Volqan generates a working admin panel, a REST API, a GraphQL API and a page builder from it. You are not hand rolling CRUD screens or writing API routes for every model. It is fully self hosted. One docker compose up and it is running, so your data and your infrastructure stay yours. There is an extension engine for community extensions, a theme engine so you can change the whole admin UI without touching code, and an embedded AI assistant that connects to OpenAI, Claude, Gemini, or a local Ollama model if you would rather keep everything offline. It is free forever under an Open Core Attribution License. There is an optional paid tier if you want to remove the small attribution footer or need white label, but the core framework is not gated behind that. Repo is here if you want to poke around: github.com/ReadyPixels/volqan I would genuinely like to hear what breaks for you, what is confusing in the docs, or what you wish it did differently. This is still early and I am the only one working on it, so blunt feedback is more useful to me than encouragement right now. submitted by /u/Readypixels [link] [comments]
