Original Summary

Fakespot closing left a gap, so I built Caveat: a free Chrome extension that shows a trust score for a product's reviews (rating distribution + review-language patterns) and checks whether today's price is actually good, right on the Amazon/Etsy page. Some choices I made on purpose: - No account, no subscription, no ads or analytics - Read-only: it only reads the page you opened, never crawls or fetches in the background - The only revenue is a disclosed "Buy on Amazon/Etsy" link that appears when the price check finds a genuinely good price. It never rewrites Amazon's own Buy button Honest limits: the price history is crowd-built from real users, so it will say "not enough data" for a while on many products, and the score is an automated opinion, not a verdict. Works on Amazon (IE, UK, US, DE, FR, IT, ES, NL, SE, CA and more) and Etsy. https://chromewebstore.google.com/detail/caveat-%E2%80%94-fake-review-pric/ikjpflnmdapdlffmebadgompjchhfejn?hl=en-GB&utm_source=ext_sidebar I'd love feedback on what's confusing or wrong, especially any listing where the score looks off. submitted by /u/a_boring_dystopia [link] [comments]
