Original Summary
Not selling anything, just want to share my open source tool that could help your saas . I spent years at a big bank and huge parts of the business ran through internal dynamic form engines. Account opening, loan applications, compliance intake. Forms where earlier answers decide what shows up next, and ops people change the flow without waiting on an engineering deploy. Nothing like that really exists outside enterprise vendors so I built a streamlined open source version called Forms-Engine. If your product has any serious intake, onboarding questionnaires, applications, qualification flows, claims, client intake for a vertical saas, you have two normal options today. Build the conditional logic yourself and maintain it forever, or embed something like Typeform ( which is legit boomerware slop ) and pay per response while your customer data sits in someone elses cloud with their branding on it. This is the third option. Your team builds the form in a visual editor, multi step, conditional show and hide, required rules, file uploads, address autocomplete. Publish, and it renders inside your app through a small web component, react and angular wrappers on npm. No third party branding, responses land as clean json in a mongodb you own, keyed by field codes you define, so piping it into your crm or backend is trivial. When someone in ops wants to add a question or change the branching, they do it in the editor and publish. No frontend deploy. People already mid form finish on the version they started so your data never gets corrupted by a mid flight change. The honest catch: you self host it. One docker compose command brings up everything, but you need someone technical on the team. If you're a no code founder this isn't for you yet. It's MIT licensed, no usage fees, no per response pricing, no telemetry. If your saas has an intake flow you hate, tell me about it and I'll tell you honestly whether this fits or not. submitted by /u/establishment-pig [link] [comments]
