Hey everyone, Whenever I sit down with my guitar or my keyboard, my hands almost instinctively fall into the exact same familiar shapes and I-IV-V progressions. Muscle memory is great for performing, but I've found it can be a massive roadblock for songwriting. I wanted a way to short-circuit my usual habits and discover interesting sounds I’d never naturally stumble onto while holding an instrument. Most of the reference apps out there are bloated with menus or paywalls, so I just built my own. The premise is simple: Tap a key, play a chord. Augment the chord. Since tweaking and stacking those augmentations is really the main part of finding interesting voicings, I found that removing the physical instrument and just tapping through modifiers on a screen completely changes how I hear relationships between notes.
