Original Summary

For a while I kept running into the same problem. If I wanted to work on my habits, I needed one app. If I wanted to track what I ate, another. Focus timer? Another app. Mindfulness? Another one. Movement and progress? Somewhere else again. At some point I started wondering why all these things were treated as completely separate parts of life. Because they aren't. If I sleep badly, my focus changes. If my routine falls apart, I might eat differently. If I've had a stressful day, it affects what I do in the evening. One part of the day tends to spill into another. That thought slowly turned into a side project. I started building an iPhone app that tries to put these pieces in one place - not because I think everyone needs to obsessively track their life, but because I wanted a way to understand the patterns behind my own days. That project eventually became DAYFACTOR . What started pretty small grew into: habits & routines nutrition and water Deep Focus breathing / Calm movement daily and weekly progress a Weekly DAYFACTOR view that brings the different parts together I've probably spent way too much time on tiny UI details 😅 A big part of the challenge has actually been the opposite of adding features: trying to make an app with several different areas still feel simple and calm instead of becoming a giant dashboard. After months of building, rebuilding things I didn't like, changing the direction, and obsessing over the iOS experience, V1.0 is finally live on the App Store. Seeing something that lived in my head for so long become an actual app people can download feels pretty surreal. But now comes the part I care about most: finding out whether the idea actually makes sense to people who aren't me. If anyone here uses productivity, habit, nutrition or wellness apps, I'd genuinely love your opinion: Would you actually want these areas together, or do you prefer having specialized apps for each one? And if you try DAYFACTOR, don't feel like you need to be nice. If something feels confusing, unnecessary or badly designed, that's exactly the feedback I want right now. It's still very early and I'm figuring out where to take it next. App Store: https://dayfactor.app/download Thanks for reading 🤍 submitted by /u/IbWarror [link] [comments]
