Original Summary
Tavaa started as a dead-simple tool to answer one annoying question: who did I lend that thing to again? The drill, the tent, the projector that never came back. Then it grew. You can now also rent things out for a fee, not just lend them for free. The part that might interest this sub is the payments side: as soon as a platform collects money and passes it on, you're quickly in licensed-payment-service territory here in the EU. We solved it with Stripe Connect — money moves directly between the two private users through a licensed provider and never touches our account, so we don't need our own payment license. We're early and testing with real users in Germany right now. I'd love honest, critical feedback — on the idea, the execution, or the regulatory setup. Happy to go into detail on any of it.
