So I've been lurking here for a while and finally have something worth posting. Quick background, I'm self taught, no CS degree, just a BCA. Before this I was pulling shots as a barista for over a year, not exactly the typical dev origin story. Got back into coding through The Odin Project and just kept going from there. Last few weeks I built ForgeFirst, it's a POS system for cafes and small restaurants. Table management, QR ordering, kitchen tickets, basic reporting, the whole thing. Used Node, React, Postgres, hosted on Render. The part I'm still weirdly proud of is I only spent ₹100 total building it. Leaned hard on free AI tools the whole way instead of paying for anything.
