Original Summary
The idea started when I assumed my lecturer who handles internship placements had to manually find companies for students to apply to (it is indeed a dumb assumption, I agree). I thought to myself "I'll build a tool that takes a Google Maps search URL and automatically extracts company contact emails into a spreadsheet". Problem solved (felt like a genius at that moment). Turns out, students had to find their own internships. My lecturer didn't need it at all. So, I tried using it for my own internship hunt. I generated lead lists of companies and sent cold emails to their extracted contact email. Guess what? I got no replies. I ended up finding my internship the boring way which is through a job platform. The tool works though. You paste a Google Maps search URL, it scrapes up to 200 companies and extracts contact emails from their websites automatically if available. It's not perfect though, the email extractor could fail. I just want to know if anyone needs this or if I've solved a problem that doesn't exist. That's why I'm posting. It's free.
