I made ThisTask to help focus on your current task and log your process. Feel free to give it a try. ThisTask is built around a restriction: one task, one screen, ever. What's in it: One task at a time. Open a task and you get its steps, its log and its history. No sidebar, no inbox, no other tabs competing for attention. Start from a template, or just paste a list in. ~100 built-in templates (travel itinerary, job interview, moving house, workout, a work meeting...) — pick one and you see the full step list before committing. Or drop a .md / .txt file: plain lines and comma-separated lists both work, so a note you already had becomes a task without any markup. A timeline, not just checkboxes. Every task keeps a feed: your notes, photos, files and the check-in rows, interleaved in the order you actually did them, each with the time it happened. In the GIF a release day plays out — branch frozen at 09:10, suite green at 10:07, changelog trimmed at 11:14, all the way to "error rate flat at 0.2%, calling it done" at 13:58. Timing is opt-in, not a stopwatch shouting at you. Timing is off by default. Turn it on if you want a count-up or countdown with pause/resume that doesn't rewrite your start time. Leave it off and it's just a calm checklist — the feed still records when things happened. Share the task itself, not a screenshot. Any task becomes a link or a QR code. The QR at the end of the GIF is real — scan it and you'll land on the exact steps from the demo, ready to continue as your own task or save as a template. Only the title and the steps are shared; the feed, notes and photos stay on your device. The export is the nice part. One tap renders the whole task as a long PNG (the last shot) or a ZIP — a record of how the work actually went, not just a list of what you planned. What it deliberately doesn't do: - No accounts, no sync, no team stuff. Everything lives in your browser's local storage. - Not a project manager.
