Original Summary

Hey everyone. I've been in a long-distance relationship for a while, and something surprised me. The hardest part wasn't the distance. It was missing all the tiny moments that happen when you're together. Not the big video calls. The random "look at this sunset." The doodles on a sticky note. Knowing they're listening to your favorite song. Seeing that they're having a rough day without asking ten questions. WhatsApp is great for conversations. But I felt like all the meaningful moments got buried between memes, work messages, and "Did you eat?" texts. So I started building Cuddl—not to replace messaging, but to create a space for those little moments. Here are a few features that came directly from things we wished existed. "I wish I knew what you were doing without interrupting your day." → Live Vibe. If my partner is listening to music, I can see it on my widget. Sometimes just seeing "Now Playing: Yellow – Coldplay" makes the distance feel a little smaller. --- "I don't always know how to say I'm not okay." → Mood Sharing. Instead of typing a long message, they tap a mood. On Android, it even appears as a floating bubble, so I notice it without another notification getting lost. --- "I wish I could leave you a sticky note while you're asleep." → Doodles. My partner doodles something before bed, and when I wake up it's already on my home screen. Usually it's terrible. I still save every one. --- "I wish I could just show you my day." → Instant Snaps. No filters. No followers. Just a quick photo of a coffee, messy desk, sunset, or my dog doing something stupid. Sometimes that's enough. --- "I wish I could tell you something... but at exactly the right moment." → Locked Messages. I wrote one before my partner's job interview. It stayed hidden until they finished. They opened it after the interview instead of before, and somehow that made it feel more meaningful. --- "I wish late-night conversations felt different." → Late Night Prompts. Around midnight, Cuddl switches from everyday questions to deeper conversation prompts. Those have led to some of our favorite conversations. --- Building this made me realize something. I wasn't trying to build another couples app. I was trying to recreate all the little moments that disappear when your relationship only exists inside one endless chat thread. I'm still building it, so I'd genuinely love feedback. If you're in a long-distance relationship, what's the one thing you miss the most that no app has solved yet?
