I build Monni. A recent conversation about one-off bills made me rethink what a reminder should actually mean. Someone using notes and a calendar didn't want another app to remember to check. The design question I'm working through: opening or dismissing an alert should not silently turn a bill into 'handled.' I'm considering separate states for seen, still needs action, and handled. This is a design idea, not a feature announcement. For people building reminder or task apps: does adding that distinction prevent mistakes, or just create another bit of upkeep?
