Hello, I'm considering selling a web platform I’ve built rather than trying to grow it myself, and I’d like realistic opinions on what the whole asset could sell for. This is not a revenue-multiple situation — there is currently no meaningful revenue or user traction. I’m asking what someone might reasonably pay for the finished technology, product, domain, deployment setup and documentation. The current release has passed its build/type/lint/unit/E2E/security gates and the production dependency audit reports no known production-package vulnerabilities. The sale would potentially include: complete source code Git repository/history domain deployment/configuration assets database schema/migrations documentation/runbooks branding/design assets buyer demo environment technical handoff Important valuation negatives: essentially pre-revenue no established user base no proven product-market fit buyer would still need to handle marketing/user acquisition buyer would need to decide which countries/markets they want to operate in and handle the relevant legal/compliance work So I’m not asking what it could someday be worth . I’m asking: If this were listed for sale today as a completed software/product asset, what asking price and realistic closing price would you put on it? For example, would you see it as roughly: under $5k / $5–10k / $10–20k / $20–30k / $30–40k / $40k+? And more importantly, why? I’d especially appreciate opinions from people who have bought or sold small software products, marketplaces, SaaS products, or source-code businesses before.
