A while back I was building a sentiment API for the semiconductor industry. I wasn't stuck, and I thought the idea was solid. I described it to someone I'd just met at a bar, and they asked me a few questions. Then they said, "Your app seems cool, but if I were building something, it would be PLG" (product-led growth). That one comment changed what I wanted to build. It wasn't advice I'd asked for. It was an angle I didn't know to ask about. So I built a tool that tries to do that: uncoverprism.com You write a few sentences about something on your mind: a decision, a plan, a project. It shows you a few angles on it, picked from a library of 56 ways of thinking. You choose one and answer a couple of questions. Then it shows you your situation through that angle, based on your answers, along with what that means for you and some next steps. Where it's at: early. This is the first time anyone outside my friends has seen it. Cost: your first angle works without an account. Signing in (a 6-digit email code, no password or card) gets you 2 full situations free, then 1 more each week. Privacy: nothing you write is posted anywhere public. It's encrypted, never sold, and you can delete it any time.
