Original Summary
Hey all. Software engineer by day, just shipped this to the App Store. The problem I kept running into: I'd open Reminders, see 40 things, and just... shut the app again. Too much, no idea where to start. So I built One & Done . It looks at all your Apple Reminders and just shows you the one thing you should do right now (overdue and due-today stuff first). Finish it, the next one appears. Swipe over and there's a running list of everything you got done that day, which turned out to be the part I actually look forward to. (Small aside for anyone curious: I used Claude to help write a lot of the Swift/SwiftUI and get through the App Store submission grind, but the data model, privacy stance, ranking logic, and UX decisions were mine. It wasn't "describe an app, get an app," more like pairing with a fast, patient junior engineer.) A few things I cared about regardless of how it was built: No account, no sign-up, no server. It's a lens over the reminders you already have; nothing is copied anywhere else. On-device only. If your phone supports Apple Intelligence, it can help order your day, but that processing never leaves the device. You can always override the pick: browse by list or just add something new and make it your focus right now. It's free: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/one-done-daily-focus/id6811139011 Would genuinely love feedback, both on the app itself, and happy to answer questions about the Claude-assisted build process if that's interesting to anyone here. submitted by /u/joseoshea0511 [link] [comments]
