"You've made a new sale ($29.00)!" This took: · 1,718 days since I wrote my first line of code. · 613 days since I started learning SaaS. · 315 days since I bought the domain. A short-recap of how I reached this milestone. · In 2022, I started learning how to code as a new year resolution. I always wanted to do CS but went into my old family business due to COVID. · I coded small projects the whole year and learned about DRY. · Don't Repeat Yourself (DRY) grounded me. That helped me code my first small automations. It used to take hours to do manually. · In 2023, I thought of distributing the software to other colleagues. I wanted to embark on the next big thing, but they said "It's not working on their devices". · I thus kept myself busy in courses and coding projects to polish my skills. · Eventually I embarked on a new project this time. A problem I wanted to solve not within but for my suppliers. It took 45 days to develop but sadly it wasn't painful enough. · Toward the end of 2023 I joined a university to complete my bachelors in CS. · In 2024, I focused on expanding my skills outside code. I thus joined GDSC as a technical lead. I got the opportunity to compete in the GSC Challenge and got a Top 100 placement world-wide. GDSC ended towards the end of 2024. My communication skills had improved. Unfortunately I was still wasting time operating things at my family business. · In 2025, I found a course on SaaS. It felt like exactly what I needed all this time. A course that helps me code a complete app that I can easily distribute and monetise. I finished it in a month and finally made something after 39 years. · A website for my business was now live. I also started working on an internal CRM for my business for obvious reasons. · I then took my chance to work at a software for our Chinese supplier again. I had identified a problem back in 2024, when I was in China. I asked them first then developed it. Someone even said they can pay $500/year but I made a grave mistake. · I asked to early without letting them use it. Not only that but the final blow came from "The Great Wall of China". I ended up continuing to make internal tools and improve our CRM. Toward the end of 2025, I randomly came across a video of a founder. . They were struggling with an app due to high AI costs. I thought to myself, "wait I can make a non-AI version that not only cuts the cost, but is privacy-first" · I bought the domain and started to code the logic. Alongside I started to read $100M Offers. I wanted to ensure I don't make the same mistakes. It wasn't. · The app got ready. The offer was set. I was willing to give it away for free in exchange of feedback. They still didn't trust it enough to use it for free
