With a long story, since the fully functionning prototype of this app dates back to 2021. The code was offically louzy, and I was secretly hoping for as little traffic as possible. I needed to build a real app there was no going around. Not a prototype. I worked solo. This was like digging out a swimmingpool with a spoon. My app was dead. 5 years and a vibecoding miracle later here I am. The app This app takes a new angle on a question as old as humanity: how is everybody really doing? I think I've found an interesting answer. We care how a group of people feels, whether it's friends, a team or a whole city, but we can't read it at a glance. This is precisely the problem we intend to solve. Suppose you want to know how a group of people is doing right now. You have to read your way there through social media: An interest group (friends, a team, a Discord, a club): you scroll back through the chat, piece together messages and reactions, and try to guess the mood from whatever people chose to say. A place (your street, your neighbourhood, your city): there's basically no way at all. You get news, trending posts and the loudest accounts, which tell you what a few people wanted to say rather than how everyone there feels. Reading doesn't work for this, for a few reasons: It doesn't scale. Five people is a scroll. Fifty is an evening. Fifty thousand is impossible. It favours the loud. A feed shows who talks, not who's there. The quiet majority, usually most of a group, is invisible. Silence is ambiguous. When someone goes quiet, you can't tell whether they're fine, busy or struggling. It takes effort on both sides. Someone has to write something before anyone can read it. People hold back what doesn't feel worth a post, so the honest "meh, rough day" never gets said. It has no shape over time. A chat gives you messages, not a trend. You can't see whether the group has been getting worse since Tuesday. What reading at a glance needs There's already one thing everybody reads at a glance without thinking: the weather . "Stormy since Tuesday, clearing now" is a whole situation in two seconds, and it needs no words and no language skills. A nine-year-old and an eighty-year-old read it the same way. So weathr makes a group's mood into weather: The input is one tap. Each person picks one of five symbols at a level from 1 to 4. There's nothing to write, so nothing to hold back.
