Original Summary
After bouncing off every "link your bank and forget it" finance app, I built the opposite. Tesserae is a personal-finance planner where you enter your own numbers, about ten minutes a month, and that's the feature. It's what leaves you knowing your finances cold. No bank logins, so there's also nothing to leak. Where I went deep is retirement planning: Monte Carlo success odds, Roth conversion ladders, RMDs, Social Security, and the "bridge to 59½" gap. On top of that there's budgeting, a cash-flow forecast, equity/RSU tracking, and 14 free calculators. Solo-built, React + Supabase (one codebase for web, iOS, and Android via Capacitor), US-only for now. There's a no-signup demo: hit "Explore the live demo" on https://www.tesseraefinance.com/?utm_source=reddit&utm_medium=community&utm_content=sideproject and you're in a full sample household. Would love feedback on what's confusing or missing. The question I most want answered: is "ten minutes a month of typing" a filter you'd accept, or the reason you'd never install it? submitted by /u/bryan1534 [link] [comments]
