Original Summary

The argument that started it: who deserves the Ballon d'Or. After a while I realised nobody was disagreeing about facts. Everyone knows the goals, the assists, the trophies. People disagree about what should count and how much. So instead of publishing another ranking, I built the thing that makes them. You set the scoring system yourself. What an assist is worth next to a goal. What a World Cup is worth next to a Champions League or a league title. How much raw production counts against trophies against what a player did in the knockout rounds. Same data for all 30 players, only the weights move, and the winner moves with them. Then you can publish your scoring system and other people upvote or downvote it.
