Hey everyone, After launching my first SaaS and struggling to get traction, I’ve been spending my time learning a lot. One book I’ve been reading is Fall in Love with the Problem, Not the Solution by Uri Levine, co-founder of Waze. I feel like it’s become so fast to build a good product with AI that we can rush past understanding the problem and finding out whether anyone actually wants what we’re building. I’m including myself here. While reading, I started thinking about something I’d like to get your take on. Imagine an open, searchable database where you could share an idea, even a rough one, and develop it with input from other people. They could: Say they have the same problem or would use the solution. Challenge your assumptions and offer constructive criticism. Point out competitors or existing solutions. Suggest improvements or connect it with related ideas. Express interest in helping build it. The idea would evolve as people added their experiences, questions, and suggestions. You could also contribute with a problem you wish someone would solve, without having a solution in mind. Before putting any effort into building this, my main question is: TLDR: Would you put an idea you genuinely care about into a public database where anyone could read it and contribute? Why or why not? What would make sharing it worthwhile, and what would hold you back?
