I've been looking through a lot of small business websites recently, and it's surprising how often the same problems show up. Some sites look beautiful but it's hard to tell what the business actually does. Some have a great service but the homepage doesn't build trust. Some lose me because I have no idea what the next step is. If another business owner asked you to review their website, what's the first thing you'd check before anything else?
