A few months ago, I built a Romanian coupon and deals platform as my bachelor’s thesis. After graduating, I could have archived it and moved on, but I decided to continue developing it as a real side project. The result is CodulZilei: https://codulzilei.ro It aggregates coupon codes, promotions and referral offers for Romanian online stores. The platform is custom-built and server-rendered rather than using WordPress or a conventional frontend framework. Recently, it started generating its first few affiliate conversions. They are still small, but seeing real people use something that began as a university project has been surprisingly motivating. My biggest challenge now is deciding what deserves attention next. I can continue adding functionality forever, but that does not necessarily make the product more useful. I would appreciate honest feedback on three questions: Is the purpose of the website clear within the first few seconds? What prevents it from feeling completely trustworthy? What single improvement would have the greatest impact on the user experience? Feedback from mobile users would be especially helpful.
